6 Essential Google Pixel Watch Tips And Tricks To Try Today

While the Google Pixel Watch is pretty wearable, its Wear OS-based software isn't revolutionary. The operating system has the same features as the best Android smartwatches. However, the Pixel Watch has some unique features that Wear OS users might not notice.

Along with the best Pixel Watch tips and tricks, we've added a few that will work with many Wear OS smartwatches. Together, these tips and tricks will help you get the most out of your first Google smartwatch experience.

For these tips, we used the Google Pixel Watch app for Android. While you can follow these steps from your watch, we've made using the app even easier.

1. Use your Google Pixel Watch to take a screenshot.

One thing you want to do with the Pixel Watch is show the watch face. In the next section, we'll show you how to customize the Pixel Watch's watch face, and here's how to take a screenshot of the watch face.

  1. Open the watch app .
  2. Click the menu that contains three buttons in the upper right corner of the screen.
  3. Click Take Screenshot on Watch .
  4. Select the app you want to send the screenshot to.

2. Customize the Pixel Watch face according to what is important to you.

There are many customization options available for your watch face. You will have different options depending on the face you are using. The classic version we are using has all the options available.

  1. Open the watch app .
  2. Click on the watch faces on the home screen.
  3. Swipe left or right to select a face.

  4. Click Edit on the face you want to customize.
  5. Click one of the options under the Multiples heading to change what is displayed in the slot.

This screen contains all the available settings. Your customization options will vary depending on the watch face you choose.

3. Set up Google Wallet on your Pixel Watch.

The Pixel Watch Classic with Google Wallet support should be your top priority. When this feature is enabled, you can swipe your wrist through the card reader to pay. However, you need to turn on the lock screen on your Pixel Watch to use this feature.

Payment methods are not automatically transferred from your phone to your watch. If you set up the map on your phone, you'll need to manually add it to your Google Pixel Watch.

  1. Open the watch app .
  2. Click on the " Settings " heading in Google .
  3. Click on Google Wallet .

  4. To view, click on “ Add ” in the lower right corner of the screen.
  5. Click Existing card or New credit or debit card.

After adding a card, you can pay for it by double-clicking on the Pixel Watch crown. Select the card you want to use and hold your watch near the card reader.

4. Customize pixel watch tiles

Tabs make up the main interface of the Pixel Watch. By swiping left or right, you can access several tabs that display fitness information, schedules, sleep stats, and more. But first you need to lay the tiles.

  1. Open the watch app .
  2. Click on Tiles to open the Manage Tiles screen.
  3. Click on Add Tab at the bottom of the screen.

  4. Click the Add button for each tab you want to add. The selected tabs are displayed in grey.
  5. Scroll down to see the full range.

How to remove and sort tiles

Both actions are performed on the tab control screen. Tap the trash can icon next to a tile to remove it, or click and drag the horizontal lines to rearrange the tiles.

5. Customize notification settings on Pixel Watch.

You can turn notifications on and off for phone and browsing apps separately. For example, you can turn off Fitbit notifications for your phone, but not for your watch. You can also prevent new apps from sending Watch notifications if they are enabled on your phone.

  1. Open the watch app .
  2. Click on “ Notifications ” under the “ Settings ” heading.
  3. Turn on or off the switch next to each app to turn notifications on or off.
  4. Click View all programs in the last 7 days to see more programs.

  5. Click Turn on automatic notifications for new apps to decide if you want new apps to send you notifications.

6. Change the Pixel Watch screen orientation.

You will set the clock direction during setup, but you can change it later. This is convenient when changing the wrist on which the watch is worn.

  1. Open the watch app .
  2. Scroll down and tap Viewing Settings.
  3. Click the clock direction at the bottom of the list.
