Hunter Biden’s Art Now Sells For Up To $225,000 To Anonymous Buyers Despite Ethics Concerns

Despite ethical issues and a possible double-dealing investigation into the President's son, Joe Biden, Hunter Biden's piece is now for sale at the new Manhattan showroom for $225,000 to an anonymous buyer.

SoHo gallery owner George Burges, an art dealer for Hunter Biden, says prices for the new paintings range from $55,000 to $225,000 , according to the Daily Beast .

However, given the artist's name, the former White House ethics chief has warned that buyers may try to curry favor with Biden Jr.'s father.

Richard Painter, George W. Bush's ethics director, told Fox News last year: "It's going to be very clear to people who know who bought Hunter Biden's art." "The question is, will Americans notice?" The White House must demand full transparency."

However, the White House said steps are being taken to prevent ethical violations, including withholding information about the price of the paintings and the identity of the buyer.

Critics also argue that emerging artists like Biden Jr. would not normally sell for such a high price, believing instead that people are buying paintings on behalf of Biden and not for the quality of the work.

Berges claims that the final painting is a reflection of Hunter.

"I think the show is meditative and thoughtful, and I think it shows who he is now," Burgess said.

The new gallery exhibit comes as Hunter Biden's international business dealings have come under increasing scrutiny since Republicans won the House in November's midterm elections.

Rep. James Comer (R-KY) said the House Oversight and Reform Committee would make investigating Biden a priority in 2023.

"The American people deserve transparency and accountability regarding the influence of the Biden family," Comer said at a news conference last month. "With a new Republican majority, Republicans on the Oversight Committee will continue to seek answers to make legislative decisions and prevent abuse of power."

There has also been renewed discussion about how Twitter is handling the Hunter Biden laptop story ahead of the 2020 election.

The so-called Twitter files, released last Friday, are a collection of internal company documents and internal messages detailing behind-the-scenes decisions by some of the social media platform's top executives to break news from laptop to press.

At a White House event on Sunday, the younger Biden was questioned by Republicans about plans to investigate him and his Twitter files.

The pool report says the president's son was approached by two reporters while sitting in the back of the room during a tribute at the Kennedy Center. One asked him how he would react to an October 2020 New York Post report about documents obtained from the personal hard drive of Elon Musk's newly acquired social media platform. There were also those who asked about the inspection of business relations by the DPR.

According to the first reporter, Biden smiled at her and left without answering.
